In the heart of London's west end, in the midst of the Christmas frenzy is Picadilly Market next to St James's church. Offerring something a little different from the high-street, you can find a numer of alternative gift ideas, handmade and sourced locally. The selection is vast and random, from handmade kaleidoscopes, to hand crafted wooden russian dolls, ceramic hand painted crockery, essential oils and handmade leather belts.
The stalls bring a sense of community that you don't get with the high street, and it's a way to support local business while purchasing something lovingly made and a little different to the norm. Piccadilly market is open Tuesday-sat during December.
Many collectibles were on show, such as these hand painted russian dolls.
